With the popularity of esports growing, it would seem like the perfect time to talk more about the games that you can play. Ones that you have perhaps not yet discovered for yourself, despite how well thought of they are. Providers such as VamosGG are offering a choice of games that allows you to explore all sorts of areas of gaming. We can now play, competitively, classic video games as well as games completely new to us.

So, let us explore three fun games that we can play as esports. In addition to the most famous of all esports games, League of Legends, there are many more that we can play online and in competition with others.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS: GO)

This is the fourth game within the series and came out in 2012. The original version was available from 1999. It has become one of the most famous first-person shooter games on the planet.

It is a simple game to play, where you aim your mouse, or what you are armed with, to shoot at the middle of your screen as indicated by a crosshair. Rounds are played by two teams. Teams play against each other, intent on eliminating the other. Teams will also complete various objectives along the way.

If you like a good Shoot ‘Em Up, this is one of the esports you will want to go for.

Dota 2

Also known as Defense of the Ancients, this is a multiplayer online battle arena game (MOBA) in the same way that League of Legends is. It was first released as Dota in 2003. Dota 2 is, of course, the sequel and came out in 2013. It followed on from where the original left off. There is continuity between the game in that respect.

As a team-based game, a familiar idea with esports, each match with Dota 2 will feature two teams of five players. The goal is for each team to destroy the Ancient of the opposing team. This is a fortified structure located within the enemy’s territory. As well as this, both sides at the same time attempt to defend their own Ancient from attack. The teams will both consist of characters called “heroes”. Each of these will have a specific set of skills and a different playing style that will assist them in combat. These “heroes” can collect experience points and items to aid play and help them against their opponents. The team that wins the match will be the one that is the first to destroy the opposition’s Ancient. Also, players get to opt for boosters (such as dota 2 boosting mmr) to excel in each level of the game.

The difference between Dota 2 and League of Legends is that in Dota you are permitted to hit and kill your allies, whereas you cannot do this in League of Legends.

FIFA

No esports article is probably complete without mentioning football. Soccer if you prefer. The esports game that is there to find to represent this sport is FIFA. Football is, after all, the world’s most popular sport. FIFA has dominated esports in this area. This esports game was originally launched in 1993. Major gaming platforms have then featured a new version of it each year. It has kept fans of football and online gaming hooked globally. It is a competitive sport and so sits well alongside all the other esports.

FIFA can be played both online and offline. The games will contain tournaments that have been exclusively licensed. They will feature players, teams, and leagues from all around the globe. It allows gamers to become virtual players representing their local team or an international club.

In summary, with esports, we can choose from shooting games, battle arena games, and games which represent real sports that are played. They are all on offer through online platforms and websites.
